TO INSTILL CONFIDENCE, SKILLS, AND PROMOTE ENJOYMENT IN LEARNING TO SEW OR IMPROVE ONE'S SEWING ABILITIES.

Antoinette Denise has been sewing since she was 11 years old,and hasn't

stop since. She attended Morris Brown College in Atlanta, GA, and was a Home Economics Education major. Although Antoinette Denise went on to have a career in Nutrition in hospitals, and Public Health. After retiring as a Public Health Nutritionist , she entered the field of education. As a Family and Consumer Science teacher, as they were no longer considered Home Ec teachers. She taught sewing her first year as a teacher, and would have as many as twenty eight students in a class. With the curriculum changing , she also taught classes in Food, Nutrition and Wellness, Lifespan Nutrition, Food Science, Home Interior, and Early Childhood after fourteen years of teaching Antoinette Denise retired. Now in retirement, and working part time as substitute teacher, she is pursuing a dream teaching sewing full time.

She is a mother to Daniel, nd a Grandmother to Jackson.

22:She makes coverings for her bed, she is clothed in fine linen and purple.

24: She makes linen garments and sells them, and supplies the merchants with sshes.

25:She is clothed with strength and dignity, she can laugh at the days to come.

    POLICY & PROCEDURE

    • CLASS SIZE WILL BE LIMITED TO FIVE (5) STUDENTS.

    • ALL STUDENTS MUST COMPLETE THE BASIC LEVEL SEWING CLASS; UNLESS PROVEN THAT HE/SHE CAN SEW AT AN INTERMEDIATE OR ADVANCED LEVEL.

    • ALL SUPPLIES (THREADS, NEEDLES, PATTERNS, SCISSORS, AND MEASURING TAPE) WILL BE PROVIDED BY THE INSTRUCTOR ON THE FIRST DAY OF CLASS. FABRIC IS NOT INCLUDED.

    • ALL FABRIC SELECTIONS MUST BE APPROVED BY THE INSTRUCTOR.

    • EATING, DRINKING,, OR CHEWING GUM IS NOT ALLOWED AT THE MACHINES. AN AREA WILL BE IDENTIFIED FOR SNACKS AND BREAKS.

    • BREAKS ARE 15 MINUTES FOR EACH HOUR, NOT TO BE COMBINED OR EXCEED THREE BREAKS DURING CLASS.

    • CELL PHONES MAY BE USED IN THE CLASS ROOM FOR EMERGENCIES ONLY. CELL PHONES MAY ONLY BE USED IN BREAK AREA THE LAST HOUR OF CLASS TO CONTACT PARENTS/GUARDIANS FOR PICK-UP.

    PAYMENT & CANCELLATION

    • TO RESERVE A SLOT/SEAT HALF OF THE PAYMENT IS DUE AT REGISTRATION, WHICH WILL BE NON-REFUNDABLE. THE BALANCE IS DUE ON OR BEFORE THE CLASS COMMENCE.

    • ONLY CASH, MONEY ORDER, OR PAY-PAL IS ACCEPTED FOR PAYMENT.

    • PARENTS/GUARDIANS MUST CONTACT THE SEWING INSTRUCTOR AT LEAST 24 HOURS IF THE REGISTERED STUDENT WILL NOT BE ATTENDING A CLASS. MAKE-UPS ARE FOR EMERGENCY CASES AND PRIOR APPROVAL OF THE SEWING INSTRUCTOR. ANY STUDENT NOT ATTENDING A CLASS WITHOUT PRIOR APPROVAL WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MAKE IT UP AND HE/SHE WILL FORFEIT THIS CLASS TIME.

    • PARENTS/GUARDIANS WILL BE NOTIFIED BY THE SEWING INSTRUCTOR AT LEAST 48 HOURS WHEN DEEMED NECESSARY TO CANCEL A CLASS. THIS MISSED CLASS WILL BE RESCHEDULED WITHIN THE TWO WEEKS.
